The coordinator from the Women's Center at the hospital just phoned me just to see how I'm doing. Such a sweetie. We talked shop since I used to be in her shoes for 10 years as well as my stuff. She's going to call the surg's office to get a move on getting me the appt with the med onc. I told her no worries I already did but she's going to bat for me. So nice. I'm so blessed that Polly is on my team!

Those tomatoes look awesome. I dropped 7.53 on tomatoes today at the store. I spend more a month on tomatoes than probably anything else I buy.

Best to eat with a healthy fat like olive oil to get full benefits of lycopene out of it. Back when my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer, which is thankfully very low grade and shouldn't be a problem at his age of 76, I learned that cooked tomatoes are really good because by cooking them, it increases the antioxidant power- which helps prevent/battle cancer. But then it reduces the vit C in it. So eat both or eat another high C veggie like green/red peppers. Green are lower in sugar than red. Also tomato sauce is just as good as far as the cooked tomato theory goes so you can enjoy your sauces more now.

I MUST have them on my pizza though. I ue to buy these thin crust pizza's at Walmart that were called Margarita pizza. It was a really thin crust pizza with tomatoes on it basically. Course they discontinued them, just like everything else I like from there. THey have some other brands, but they put olive oil on them, and that shit is fucking disgusting. I tried one once. Thought the olive oil would not really make a difference. BIG mistake. I had to throw it out, could not even eat it. Horrid, olive oil is.. I eat salad almost every single day actually and tomatoes are the most important part of my salad. I am picky about them and only want the ones grown in the USA, which cost more, but I do not paying more cause they so much better.

Margherita and Margarita aren't the same thing. All I know is I have not seen them for over a year now and they were great, tons of tomatoes on them. When they stopped selling them, I actually went into their freezer and bought everyone they had left, which was 15 pizzas.
