My dumbass got so drunk I couldn't finish our draft and so my team is lacking 5 positions.Our league meets every Monday for MNF but I couldn't make it last week.Anyhow my stance is that I paid my $160 entry fee and even though it was my fault I got wasted I should still get to select my other 5 positions from the free agent pool.
If commish has his way he wants me to pay the $5 per transaction to fill out my roster but is putting it up for a vote at tonight's get together.Right now I'm 1-1 on the young season but with byes starting week 5 am hoping the other owners will agree I fucked up but still I paid my entry and should be able to fill my roster at no additional costs.
Thoughts?

agreed. you just have more bench slots to fill.
whats the big deal?, unless you have to pay a fee for every transaction, not sure why not filling a roster should cost you and not everyone else

Every league is different, so it really depends on how serious you all take your fantasy football league. Since your entry fee is $160 with a $5 transaction fee in place, I'm guess that there's some decent cash floating around throughout the season and you all are serious FFers. If this is the case, I would vote for you to pay the $5 per. I know it's not what you want to hear, but if someone in my leagues was dumb enough to get so fucked up as to not be able to finish drafting, I would want him to pay the money out of principle. :makeitrain:

I'm confident that's not it as these guys drink Miller Lite 7 days a week,my problem was I thought a full day of rum drinking would be good and it got the best of me.I've never done anything like that before in one of our drafts nor will I ever again. |

Why wasn't this brought up before the season started? It seems to me you should have been able to fill your roster after you sobered up. Filling it now, two weeks into the season, and allowing you to pick the best five free agents (after you've watched them for two weeks) doesn't seem completely fair. Although maybe I'm reading this wrong and you will just get five transactions that will be handled like everyone elses transactions.
In any case, making you pay for a complete roster sounds like BS. Everyone else in the league paid $160 and got "x" amount of players, you should too.

I agree with you that you should be able to fill your roster for free. Hopefully enough of your league agrees. That said if the vote goes the other way, grin and bear it.

Our league meets every Monday night for MNF,trades and/or add drops can only be made during halftime @ $5 per.Anyhpow I got there tonight and 5 of the other owners showed up,they voted if I bought a round of beers I could get in with my 5 pick-ups but I had to wait my turn for each i.e. waiver wire priority which I gladly did. |

The Monday night get togethers are a great guys night out and of the 17 Mondays we are required to make 8 of them in order to collect any winnings plus it's the only time add/drops and trades are allowed.A little different yes but a lot of good times and friendships made and strengthened. |
