...is on tomorrow night (10/18). Let 's see what parts are hidden that are highlighted. There's a lot of parts to choose from as there are a lot of cool nook and cranny spots in SF!

He does make the parts unknown, known. But I don't think these places will become big touristy spots as a result because there are so many in SF that people keep going to on every trip. There may be a bump in visitors to those areas he points out, but for it to be long term, I doubt it. SF's way too big and way too many cool known spots for peeps to explore on their trips. And the locals, I think if those places have been there many years, they probably know about them already.

Meh, I was pretty bored with it. I already knew of the places he mentioned so it wasn't anything new for me. I also didn't like how much they showed the skanky areas, like making it a highlight of the show.
I think it was on the news that Sinbad's is ok for now. Also Bourdain says San Jose is the only place of a few in the nation with a Japantown. Um, SF has one. Seems it's a part unknown to you but my cousin's kid is a Japanese culture freak at the age of 12 and they go there often!

Hey bier, I hear no one in Japan wears a 49ers jersey. (referring to your avatar)
Ties in with why a three piece girls surf band in named the 5,6,7,8's.

i am not sure which is worse..... a team outright sucking, or a team sucking that shows signs of being the excellent team they were 1 year ago. i have voiced this at the gc, huddle, and fbg.... very pissed at upper management: 1) moving the stadium to san jose 2) for mismanaging harbaugh 3) for mismanaging the hiring of his replacement they still have some talent and i would not be surprised if they won 6-7 this year. i would also not be surprised if they do not win another game.

just a quick side note: made it in to the city for a few hours to hang with a friend. got lunch then hit one of my favorite spots trader sam's (dive tiki bar). bar tender mixes strong drinks (also gives the generous extra pours. 2 drinks an i was lit. have not been this hammered in a quite a while.
not positive, but i believe bourdain mentioned this one on one of his shows.

The epi I saw of Bourdain in SF he was in Trader Vics raving about it. The move to SC was stupid, and costly. And the traffic! All around crazy!
