A kinky sex festival where half-naked guests pretended to be ponies and puppies at a secret location in a small Welsh village has said it plans to return next year.
The event in Bancyffordd , Carmarthenshire , held over a “long weekend” saw a dozen people join event organiser Sir Guy Masterleigh for the S&M events, which he revealed have been held in the village without anyone realising for several years.
Often including hare coursing and deer stalking – using people instead of animals, this year’s event saw people dressed as “ponies” pulling carts behind them and “puppies wearing nothing but a collar and lead” being walked.
“It’s all very discreet,” said Sir Guy who heads up the British heritage-themed fetish meeting group known as the Tawsingham Society, reports Wales Online.
“I don’t think anybody is really offended, only those who have got entirely the wrong idea about it. When WalesOnline broke the story I tried to respond directly to those who raised concerns on its Facebook page.
“We’re all adults, most of us are over 40, some over 60 and all consenting participants. We are not out to corrupt anybody or deprave anybody and it is all very private and why we have always been so discreet.”
Sir Guy, who’s been running the fun and games at the site in Wales for six years, said 70 new people had joined his group’s Facebook page, since their event was ‘outed’.
The group’s tagline is “bringing fantasy into reality” and the kinky play is open to anyone aged 18 or over.
For just £10 per day, guests can join Guy and his band of “ponies, puppies and piggies” on their private site in Carmarthenshire.
“We are doing nothing immoral at all. Taking part we had a couple of ponies, one boy pony, one girl.
“She was more inhibited so she wore a bra and knickers, but basically they wear a broad belt around their waists and a bridle on their head like a horse, with a bit between their teeth.
“Behind them we have a little lightweight cart. Basically you drive them around just like any other horse and cart.”
Sir Guy admitted the whole thing is much more of giggle than it is masochistic.
“My view of kinky sex is, if it’s isn’t just one step away from falling on the floor hysterically laughing like a dying fly, you are doing something wrong.
“It’s got to be on that cusp, if you take it seriously and think there is a deep metaphysical meaning to it, you’re on the wrong track.”
In total there were four ponies, who took it in turns to drive.
“We then had an obstacle course, using old tyres, which the blindfolded ponies had to avoid, being steered by the drivers. At other events we’ve had long distance races too. What you tend to find is the young horses race off too quickly, over-shooting the mark. It’s all very intense because you are relying on the driver to guide you.”
But though Sir Guy said the events might arouse some sexual excitement, “there isn’t actually very much sex”.
“You’d probably get more sex at Glastonbury than you would at our event.”
The kinky fest, which lasted several days and involved people, all aged 20 plus, also saw some members dressed as puppies being walked in the countryside.
“One person did puppy-play, where they have to walk to heel, and to play ‘fetch’. They wear nothing but a collar. Although we were in Wales there were no sheep, cows or piggies this time, but that’s just the way it went.
“We do sometimes have some human piggies, human cows would fit right in to the scene too.”
He claimed “nudity, cross-dressing, public bondage, whatever, is all possible, and indeed encouraged, It just depends on what people want to do, it’s all very chilled out”.
Some neighbours were apparently unhappy about the event.
Larissa Lewis, from Llandysul, said: “We are in the school holidays and we like to get our kids out from computer games to enjoy our fabulous environment.
“Please do not permit outsiders to bring their disgusting habits here and tempt our young folk.”
Speaking after the week, Sir Guy, who lives in London, and says he has raised six children claimed a “malicious” campaign had been launched against him for holding events at Bancyfford.
He said: “We have invited the local people to come and meet us all, we are on site.
“We notified the police who did a drive by, who waved at us and drove on. It was all a very tame affair. We’ll certainly be back next year for another event.”
