#11 - SHOTSUP
QB: Grade - B
If RG3 never gets hurt last season, the hype would be astronomical coming in to this year. However, he did get hurt and while he appears healthy now, it leaves many of us wondering where to draft him and how long he will last. If he plays as well as he did last season and makes it through a full season, he will be a steal where Shots drafted him. If something happens, Schaub is an effective, if not overly sexy, backup. He is slightly underrated every year and will have his really explosive games. However, the Texans are looking like a run first team with Arian Foster and Tate getting big work loads. A solid, but unspectacular, group.
RB: Grade - B-
Ray Rice is a stud, especially in a PPR. Anything he lacks in standard scoring leagues he will more than make up for with his ability as a receiver. I have no complaints with him as a #1. Daryl Richardson has unquestionably won the starting job, but I think the Rams are in for a long year. They just don't have enough firepower on offense, which could lead to them falling behind often. If that happens, look for Bradford to air it out, leaving Richardson with some check downs, but not enough carries. After these two, you've got Mark Ingram and...wait, that's it? Fuck, that is not much depth. Mark Ingram may get the most carries on the team, but make no mistake: The Saints will live and die through the air. This will lead to lots of catches for the RB to own, Darren Sproles.
WR: Grade: B+
Julio Jones is about to explode all over the NFL. Love him this year. Wes Welker has gone from being targeted a million times a year to being part of a three headed monster. Still going to get his catches, but probably not the 100+ that we've come to expect. Denarius Moore will likely start as your flex. I like Moore's talent and he's shown flashes, but I don't trust the QB situation in Oakland. Flynn played his way out of the starting gig and Pryor doesn't instill tons of confidence either. Still not a terrible #3. After those guys, you've kind of thrown shit at the wall, hoping something might stick. Heyward-Bey, Nate Washington, Jacoby Jones...take your pick on who you like here, they're interchangeable parts to me. A solid group that could turn into something really good if one of those guys breaks out.
TE: Grade B
Vernon Davis should benefit from more experience with Kaepernick. The loss of Michael Crabtree will create a bunch of catches to go around and I think that Davis could be the beneficiary of that. However, I will need to see it before I believe it. Scott Chandler is a dependable backup, but I wouldn't want to start him for any real length of time. QB is a mess in Buffalo, so you're taking your chances there.
OVERALL: 7 out of 10. I think you'll win some games maybe 5 or 6 games, but it'll be a dark time come playoffs.
