#7 - NEWBIE JR.
QB: Rating: D
Sweet tapdancing Christ, this is a bad group. Eli Manning as your #1 and Sam Bradford as your #2...
Sorry, I had to stop for a minute, as I thought I was going to vomit. Let's move on before my stomach starts to flip again.
RB: Rating: A+
As bad as your QBs are, that's how good your RBs are. Lesean McCoy is a ppr beast, and this new system is going to suit him nicely. Now that Andy Reid is gone, they may actually let him run the ball too; what a novel concept. Alfred Morris could be most team's #1, and he's your second starter. I don't expect a sophomore slump from him; as long as RG3 stays around and on the field, teams can't focus on stacking the box against him. Expect similar numbers to last year. For your 3rd running back, I love Montee Ball. I'm not saying that he'll be great this year, but he has a chance to put up very good numbers. With the starters that you have, you can sit on him, wait for him to go off and then trade him to a RB hungry team (I'm looking at you, Heavy Set). Bernard Pierce is good in a jam (read injury), but I don't expect him to see your starting team.
WR: Rating: A
Good starters, in Andre Johnson and Reggie Wayne. If Johnson stays healthy, he still has the ability to punish opposing number 1 cornerbacks. And old man Wayne didn't drop off the way people thought he might last year with Manning gone. I expect he and Luck to continue to build their chemistry together and have another big year. Pierre Garcon in your flex is just rubbing it in. A lot of "experts" have Garcon ready to boom. I'm not necessarily sold, but I defer to them. At any rate, he's a good #3. On your bench is Josh Gordon (good sleeper candidate), Vincent Brown and Harvin. If you can hold down the fort until Harvin gets back, you'll be in great shape.
TE: Rating - D-
Kyle Rudolph and no backup? This is a major area of concern.
OVERALL - 7.45 out of 10. While #7 would have you on the outside looking in come playoff time, I wouldn't be surprised if you make a run and get into the playoffs. I may be rating you a little too harshly based on personal experience, as I've seen first hand how terrible QB play can sink a team (happened to me in a couple of leagues last year). Your skill players are so good that they may be able to make up from the 8-10 a week you can expect from QB and 6-9 a week you'll get at TE.

Yeah, I definitely screwed myself at QB. I blame it on picking out of the two spot. I hate being near the bookends. Way too many picks in between yours. Hard to strategize. My picks at the previous turn were Monte Ball and Josh Gordon. Two guys I was definitely targeting and couldn't wait on. There were still a bunch of great QBs on the board and quite a few had already drafted one. The first wrench in the plan was when one guy drafted Stafford as his backup QB. Now, I was getting nervous because who in the hell drafts a backup QB in round 7? After Brees, Rodgers, and P.Manning, I considered the next nine guys to be a tossup. Don't see any difference between the Ryans and Griffins and Wilsons and Romos. So I was still sitting pretty with only five picks to go before mine. But Wilson, Romo, and Luck all went in a row and I was left to decide between Eli and Vick. Being that I already had McCoy, and his huge injury risk, I passed on Vick and chose E Manning. I have to hope I see 2011 Eli and not 2012 Eli.

I disagree whole-heartedly. Eli can be a more than serviceable QB and who gives a shit about tight end, you can pick one up that will be in the top 10 after week 1.

I'm a Giants fan, and I watched every game last season. Eli is talented and a real life winner, but I'm not sure about fantasy. I don't trust him, he's too hit or miss. If you get 2011 Eli, watch out for this team. 2012 Eli, and this team could still sneak into the postseason, but it will be considerably harder. As I said, I was likely too hard on the team because I've been burned by this situation before . His skill position players are killer.

I hope that you're right. I'm Giantsfan I KNEW IT! Once upon the time I was new at the Geek Club and I posted a comment in a Giants Fan thread. Oh, he viciously ripped me a new asshole. I couldn't believe it, my comment was totally harmless. It turns out I hadn't quite paid attention, it was Giants Rule ripping Giants Fan in the post after mine. I hadn't until soon after made the mental note these were two different people who hated each other. As most of you know, Giants Rule went on to become Big Blue.
